The immune responses contribute to the development of different common body disorders such as neurodegenerative conditions, metabolic and cardiovascular. Allergens are the antigens that prove hypersensitivity reaction in when the body’s immune systems react against the foreign substances, resulting in damage to the body’s tissues. Any material is capable of causing an allergen (allergies), but the common one arises after taking a particular food type or inhaling airborne substances like pollen or dust or taking some drugs. As a result, the body believes that the allergens are dangerous and the immune system produces materials to attack them. The immune system, therefore, releases potent chemicals such as histamine, which causes irritation and many allergic symptoms. What is immunotherapy? Immunotherapy is the treatment of allergy diseases.

Allergen-specific immunotherapy and allergen reduction is the only intervention on allergen diseases with the possibility of reducing the effects in the long run. The clinical value of specific allergen immunotherapy in treatments of allergic diseases has questioned for over 20 years in spite of substantial documentation to support. In the evaluation of the relative advantages of immunotherapy compared to exclusive pharmacology, conditions are that several aspects such as magnitude, practical application, side effects, efficiency, and cost have evaluated (Gabriela et al. Immunotherapy as an effective tool in allergy treatment The allergic patient suffers from the manifestation of diseases asthma, conjunctivitis, and rhinitis. Its applicable to the patients who experienced reactions during the treatments phase, the lower dose maintenance is necessary (Jean et al.

) Alternative application of immunotherapy The alternative form of immunotherapy is the intralymphatic injections which are a superficial inguinal lymph node in either the left or right groin was aseptically injected using a 25-gauge needle and ultrasound guidance. The superficial lymph nodes in the groin identified as hypoechoic nodules with a diameter of 0. 5 to 1. 5 cm. The secondary result is that the safety of intralymphatic injection changes the nasal symptom score following the nasal provocation test. The additional effect is that blood sample acquired at visit six was re-analysed following unbinding of the study. Conclusion Allergen-specific immunotherapy (SCIT) is the only way of sustain or treating IgE mediated allergies that is causative and has long-term effects. But the percentage of allergic patients undergoes the SCIT are low perhaps because of the extended therapy duration the risks of severe systemic allergic reactions associated with allergen administration.
