I was a bit nervous because I had never attended a live concert before in my life. However, I had been to a lot of battle bands before and such kind of concerts. The plan of the hall told me that this would be a different and thrilling experience. Most of the people had arrived early enough and were in the hall chatting amongst themselves. The concert was just about to start and so I took my notebook and pen ready to write some notes. The atmosphere was very peaceful and the performance took place in a large orchestra hall. The audience was large and the orchestra hall was very beautiful. It had decorations from paintings and some gold trimming which set the mood for the occasion.

I could estimate that about five hundred people were in attendance and were mostly adults. At first I thought that the performance would be so boring and a waste of time. Being a little sick, the music sounds gave me some sense of relaxation. I vividly remember one of the girls who left her flute on the stand and I couldn’t stop wondering what she was going to do next. She stood up and the second piece started. She professionally started playing the French horn as a welcome sign to the second piece. In response there was a big applause from the audience. The viola and violin started to play and the melody was soft. There was no use of microphone.

The music started on a soft note but as the piece was approaching the end, it started accelerating. It was mad fun. The performers in both pieces were really composed and the music from the instruments sounded very smooth. The whole time, the audience was quiet as they enjoyed the melody from the instruments. However, there was one person sited behind me who was tapping to the beat of the music. I could hear the tapping right in my ear which made me loose concentration on the orchestra. He stopped after some time. Another sited next to me kept asking me questions. Did I say that my head blacked out? At the climax of the performance, I just realized that my head blacked out and concentrated fully on the stage.
