It is fair that the minority communities in their course of promoting the preservation of their identity do so without affecting other existing relations. What this means is that they should not discriminate those individuals who have chosen different course such as inter-racial marriages. On the dimension of maintaining the Aboriginal identity, the restrictions created by the Membership Code are in order. This is because steps need to be taken to prevent assimilation of the tribe. Failure to impose the restrictions, then there will be increased intermarriages that will result to the Aboriginal tribe becoming extinct. Ethnic orientation should be embraced and not undermined.
