Child development and development of childhood

According to Woodhead, the topic on child development has been under research over a long period of time (Woodhead 1). Child development has become a hot topic due to scholarly reasons. One of them is revolutions in the industrial sector which played a role in shaping the lives of children. Child development research has had priorities which include describing the development milestones as well as explaining the processes taking place. However, the existence of different accounts on child development have posed a big problem to the research community. Additionally, the research should be done in such a way that children are recognized as participants in this research. Respecting their right to participate is crucial for their education, healthcare and social care. It’s also the underpinning principle for these childhood studies.
