The Armco Company was having hard time in coordinating and managing activities in its branches which were then done centrally. The top managerial post therefore had a hard time to coordinate through all the locations and the location managers. It is therefore significant to acknowledge the presence of other coordinators who will serve an important purpose of coordinating activities through improved communication and project activity monitoring. Creating a new position as the district operations manager will break down most of the work done by the location managers and link communication of the specific locations to us. Is promoting an existing manager the best option to fill this position? If not, what is an alternative source to fill the position? In this case I would consider an existing manager to be promoted to the new post since it requires a person who understands the organization and some of the specific challenges that affect the entire organization and its location managements.
