Techniques for Enterprise Architecture

EA framework is the same as other frameworks as it contains all practices and principles needed for designing, planning, analyzing, and using EA (Bernard). EA Frameworks After the introduction of EA technology to the market by IBM, there have been numerous productions of EA frameworks. The need for more frameworks was created by the desire to have tangible solutions and serve different types of organizations. EA has four domains namely; business, data, applications, and technology domains. These architectural domains can be presented in layers as follows; the environment, business, data, information system, and the technology layers. Open-source Enterprise Architecture Frameworks, as the name suggests these are released and developed as open source. Common examples include; LEAD, TRAK, GOD, MEGAF, and SABSA.

Among the above EA frameworks, I would choose to use TOGAF or ASSIMPLER. Two Favorable EA Frameworks My chosen organization is a business organization operating in different countries and dealing with different types of services and products. This organization requires a sophisticated yet easy to use EA framework that is not specified for one use. It is cost effective to acquire this framework, maintaining it and it can be advanced. Preferred Framework Between ASSIMPLER and TOGAF I can choose TOGAF to be my preferred framework. TOGAF is my choice rather than ASSIMPLER because the organization will be able to continuously align its processes with new objectives. The organization will also be able to transform its processes in a controlled way. The following is a brief plan of how the framework will be initiated in the organization.

The company legal professionals like the lawyers will be responsible for ensuring all legal requirements are met before starting using the new framework. Fraud, contract law, procurement laws, and data protection laws should be the priority. The IT department will also play a major role when initiating the new framework as they must design different software. They will also be responsible for the migration plan and ensure everything works as expected and in case of any errors, they are corrected in time. The process will need IT architects specialized in data, technology, application, and business architectures. This will create the need for a new framework. My first step when approaching the CEO will be to persuade him to authorize implementation of a new framework using the reasons I researched together with the importance of the new framework.
