Love and Information (Example)

Document Preview:

Name Professor Course Date “Love and information” Question 1 “Love and information” by Carly Churchill is arguably the best living playwright that recognizes all the undertakings of the modern world. The play offers a glimpse of over a hundred characters through a series of exhilarating experience. The play has about 57 scenes; the play is about the modern era where people are living in fear of erosion of privacy and decayed feelings. The Secret script is extraordinary because it has a deep sense of political and individual unease about the society in which communication has substituted human relationships. This is manifested in the scene depicting how people find it hard to cope with the available information. The Secret scene is the most interesting part able to incorporate a wide range of topic from mathematics to fear yet the play was purely about love. This leads me to suspect that the director jotted down the fragments of the play for possible future use in another similar play. However the director of the play directs a powerful and sharp production. Scene by scene suspense takes center stage. The director establishes a connection with his audience which is by far a great experience because they can understand the ideas presented. The last question is how the characters influenced the roles they played? In most cases like this one the director seems to have played a part in shaping the roles of his crew. What about this moment do you think makes it an interesting moment to stage? Cite the moment by page and, if necessary, quote directly from the script. (300 words) 2) What moment did you find most surprising? You will need to provide a detailed description of the moment (Where are the actors on stage? What are they wearing? What do the lights look like? How do they move? What do they say?). Then, explain why you found that moment surprising. (Did it differ than when you read it? Was the acting especially powerful? Etc.) (300 words) 3) Based on your experience, what is a question you would like to ask either the director, a designer, or an actor about the play? What led you to this question? (200 words)
