This research paper seeks to establish how Wilhelm II’s foreign policy led to the beginning and the end of the Moroccan crisis specifically looking at how the Wilhelm II foreign policy faired through the Moroccan crisis from 1905-1906. A. Evidence It’s clear that Germany was the lead cause of the emergence of the first Moroccan crisis from its foreign policies in the Weltpolitik regime. Having been late in the scramble for Africa, Wilhelm wanted to catch up with the other European powers. On March 31, 1905, Kaiser Wilhelm arrived at Tangiers and declared his support to the Moroccan sultan provoking France and the United Kingdom. Synthesis However, the Moroccan crisis came to an end on April 7, 1906, with Germany failing to get control over Morocco.
