Firstly, considering that Affordable Care Act has been likened to significant expansion, there has been inconsistent growth in the healthcare department, which has seen abrupt growth in Medicare. The growth of the cost of sustaining healthcare has seen the cost of national health increase abruptly which has trickled down to causing an increase in the level of spending to individuals as well as private corporations. Further, the increase in the cost of medical services has resulted to recession and recovery in the economy of the United States (Butler, 2016). Therefore, the future of ACA has led to significant doubt of its sustainability by the economy. Looking at the National Health Expenditure (NHE), the sector has faced slow growth that has been attributed by lack of containment measures to handle increased cost of healthcare expenditure by the government.

One of the federal policy include the policy on Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act. The policy has aimed at improving the health of the children through maintaining a healthy nutrition habit among the children. The policy has aimed at improving the health of the children in school through enforcing lunch programs to children. Consequently, the regulation has helped in reducing the rate of people unemployed in the United States.
