Hierarchy of Needs pyramid the needs of a client are discussed and analyzed. The hierarchy describes the needs of a client from the most basic and explains the interrelation between the needs. A case of an old woman who fell and was hospitalized due to some injuries has been described to give a detailed understanding of the issue in question. Introduction Human growth and development is a process that has different stages that everyone must pass through. The life-long process involves different changes regarding the behavior, emotional and physical growth. For this reason, there has been a need to explore the difficulties and the possible solutions to the problems mentioned. Each development stage has its unique marker. As an individual matures, they can analyze circumstances and make a decision considering the available options and the possible consequences.

As the individual develops they increase their ability to relate to each other and lay the future foundations. The relationship with each other boosts and the emotional character changes hence a need to have a better understanding of each other, to ascertain a healthy relationship (Somerville et al. Through the analysis of the hierarchy of needs and the interaction with the client, it would be easy to identify the needs of the clients that are met and the ones that are not yet met. Upon the analysis of the model, it will be easy to provide a detailed plan on the solutions that can be provided to ensure that the client will have a smooth life in all aspects of her life especially the physical which causes emotional and cognitive problems.

The social, economic factors have much effect towards the development and of the client. Critical understanding of the client's needs in a setting it is important for it gives a clear outline of what should be done. Through the interviews and the observation, it is possible to understand the needs of the clients that are met and the ones that are not met. The fact that she is a widow raises psychological questions and gives the need for mental and family support. Support The social needs of the client are not fully met. The social needs in a care setting in most instances are not met especially when dealing with an adolescent client. Any given adolescent is in search of a broader social relationship as they seek to be loved more and get accepted in the society.

It is at the stage that most people explore new levels in their life and desire also to get new social friends. It is important to deal with the feeling comprehensively to have the client live a healthy life emotionally. Practical solution The physiological needs which include clothes, shelter, and food are very important and hence the practical solution must seek to attend to those needs. Margaret is not in a position to work and hence acquiring the basic needs such as food is a problem. The fact that she doesn’t have a husband raises the alarm since she is expected to provide for herself and her family. She is not able to do her care activities such as washing and dressing and hence looking for a person to help her do the chores would be very helpful in her daily activities.

The human desires are divided into five needs in hierarchical form. His pyramidal structure starts at the bottom as it proceeds upwards. Maslow describes the priorities of human beings, which are a major determinant of human behavior. In the pyramid, the physical needs correspond with the lower order needs while the socio-psychological needs correspond with the needs of a high order. As the lower needs are satisfied, the higher needs are then activated. The behavioral standards of different people are determined by the level of security that they have. Every individual with the basic physiological needs desires to have security in terms of finances, healthcare and accidents. c) Social needs Every person desires to fit in the society. Social needs are needs such as love and belonging, and acceptance.

Emotional relationships are active and they act as a driving force for the human behavior. Everyone believes that they are mandated to becoming what they were created or made to be. The public opinion doesn't matter to an individual who believes in self-actualization. Capability exploiters or potentiality exploiters are the best descriptions to give to those who believe in self-actualization. Interpersonal and interactive skills An individual can have skills that are relevant to communicating with the people effectively. In a social setting, everyone ought to communicate with the people around them, the seniors and the juniors in the society. Problem-solving is important for it is possible for the client to get assistance out of the conversation. Problem-solving is vital as it is the vital purpose of the communication (Luo, 2015).

In getting the solution, there must be the use of decision making as another interpersonal skill in determining the best model and method to be used in the decision making. Upon making the decision the right model and theory are applied in determining the way out in getting out of the difficult situation. Assertiveness had also to be applied to ensure that the words used in the communication do not hurt the client. Strong nonverbal communication skills also help the client to be assured that they are being listened and their problem shall be solved amicably. It is also a sign of concern by managing to be fully concentrated in the given conversation with the client Self-confidence It is an important aspect when communicating with a client as they seek to come out of a given situation or as they seek to develop in certain aspects of their lives.

The ability to make well-informed decisions while communicating with a client is an important strength to be considered as it determines the level to which the solution shall be got. Making an informed decision is highly dependent on an ability of an individual to be self-confident Weaknesses Impatience It is a weakness that can sometimes cause very detrimental effects. It occurs during conversation when the one is not able to let the client express themselves fully and let out any emotions that could be affecting them. One is approachable if they have a happy facial outlook. The right facial expression is an indication of having a positive attitude towards individuals and circumstances. Showing concern and being considerate: Anyone who does something commendable, however small it might look, deserves appreciation.
