Seven Threats to Ethics Name Ethical and Moral in Education Organization Institution Seven Threats to Ethics I read and found the first section of Simon Blackburn book Ethics: an introduction to “the seven threats to ethics” very interesting and informative. I would like to react to the ideas presented under each threat. The threats posed include the death of God relativism egoism evolution theory determinism unreasonable demands and false consciousness. Firstly the illiterate and semi-literate are said to hold a strong belief in God than the most educated people. In other words God has died out in the best-educated groups in the society. caned by teachers for them to uphold moral values. Parents may also be perceived as oppressive in the events imparting useful moral values to their children. I hold the view that moral execution should be done in ways that do not contradict its meaning. In conclusion I enjoyed reading the section of the book. Simon Blackburn created a platform for the readers to critically reflect on the threats to ethics. If these threats can be suppressed then morality would left firm. Reference Blackburn S. (2001).
