in-depth summary -Race, Gender, Sexuality,& Social Class -Susan Ferguson

Choose 3 of the readings or scholars from this week. For each reading/scholar provide an in-depth summary of their overall argument and perspective on privilege, race, class, and gender. This summary should include quotes from the text and you should clearly state what their main thesis statement is. The key to the summary is identifying the main argument and the primary points they use to prove that argument Then answer the following questions for each reading/scholar: 1) What are the most important ways these three are similar in their perspectives on privilege, race, class, and gender? What are the most important ways in which they differ in their perspectives? For this section you should compare and contrast each reading to the other reading. 2) Describe at least 3 ways in which EACH readings/scholars spoke to you or challenged your thinking. 3) Based on the readings you chose for this paper, what do you think are the biggest contributing factors to the proliferation of privilege in modern American culture? In other words, what are some of the main reasons why privilege exists--try to be as specific as you can here about what reasons you're identifying and what kind of privilege you are specifically talking about. What do you think are some of the ways we might undermine or challenge this privilege as individuals and as a culture overall? This paper needs to be in APA format and should be at least 4 full page--all references made in the paper need to be in APA format as well.

Expectancy theory of motivation
According to Steven McShane and Mary Von Glinow, motivation is the forces within somebody who affect the path, strength, and persistence of voluntary patterns. Motivated employees are willing to exert a specific level of effort (intensity), for a certain amount of time (persistence), toward a specific goal (path). Goal is an integral factor direct worker contributes their work. THE BUSINESS should make sure they are continually putting effort until they reach the goal. It's important for a firm to motivate staff. Their performance determines a firm successfulness. In today's world where everyone would like to be noticed and recognized for their work - employees are encouraged to achieve to stay relevant (Glenn Liopis, 2012).
