Even after the murder he still kept it a secret and did not tell the King’s widow about it. These are the things that make Hamlet angry and plans for revenge. He too tries to deceive everyone that he is mad to avoid alerting Claudius and the rest about his investigations into his father’s death. This is a tragic play with sad endings that made even the perceived innocent characters like Ophelia to die. The play majors on the key contributors which are Claudius and Hamlet and how their deception of other characters and events becomes everyone’s tragic demise. Claudius in his own way thinks that by getting rid of Hamlet he can restore normalcy to life. It dawns on him that the young Prince-Hamlet is getting to know about all that had happened and Claudius again, plans another evil plot to get rid of Hamlet by planning a duel between Hamlet and Laertes.

Hamlet had killed Laertes’ father, Polonius. Claudius wanted Laertes to revenge but deceptively. He staged a duel and even tried to poison Hamlet and make it appear like Hamlet died in the duel. So to Hamlet, it is by acting deceptively that he can be able to discover the lies and betrayals running down his family line. He deceives people that he hates Ophelia, he knows that he is being watched, he mistreats her while he loves her deeply. Polonius had warned his daughter Ophelia to stay away from Hamlet after spying on him and discovered that he was up to no good. This did not prevent Ophelia from loving Hamlet because she believed he loved her in equal measure or more.

It is true, though Hamlet is hoping that all that is happening would end soon wish and he can get back to his normal life. Hamlet finally gets his way when an opportunity presents itself and kills Claudius, his step-father, and uncle. Hamlet is the most affected character in the play as he seemed not to trust anyone. Clearly, there is no one he can trust. His mother Gertrude, marries Claudius barely two months after the death of the old King Hamlet. His uncle Claudius plots to kill him when he tries to find out how his father died. The play spells a tragic start and end but it does not have to end that way literally. People can always change the course of life and make it better than the way it started.
