The burning of these fuels emits the carbon dioxide (CO2) to the atmosphere hence causing the greenhouse effects. The rise in the human population leads to the higher demand for food hence leading to a need to cultivate more land and clear the vegetation in order to settle the growing population. This accelerates the environmental degradation hence leading to a change in climate (Wheeler & Beatley, 2014).   The population rise puts the pressure on the earth’s resources including, earth atmosphere, water, land and the forests. This leads to a climatic change and a very challenging environmental sustainability. These help in reducing the environmental pollution. The significance of the summit The summit was just a climax of the process which started in the year 1989, December, of negotiations, planning and education among all the UN member states.

This led to the adoption of the Agenda 21, a form of the vast-ranging blueprint for the steps and actions to achieve the required sustainable development globally. The summit enlightened all the member states on the significance of the environment on now and the future generation hence there is a need to protect it (Dodds, 2014). The Earth summit impacted on the UN subsequent conference which has strictly scrutinized the form of the relationship between the social development, women and the human settlements, populations, human rights and the desire for the environmentally sustainable development How the Overpopulation influences the Earth Summit The overpopulation greatly influences the availability of the planet’s resources. The summit strictly advocates for the use of the alternative source of energy in order to enhance the sustainable environment.

Strengths and weaknesses posed on energy industry as a result of the climate change The energy consumption and production put a considerable pressure on the general environment. This is due to the effects of the waste generation, pollutant emissions and the green gas and air forms of pollutants. The strengths posed to the energy industry as a result of the climatic change is that there is a development of the Synergy as a form of the parallel projects from the form of the hydrogen production in order to end the use (FutureGen) hence reducing the pollution. Another strength of the energy industry during the climatically change is the issue of the coal being a massive resource hence it can’t be depleted as a result of the change in climate.
