Theories about Terrorism

Despite the efforts put by different states all over the world to bring it to an end, terrorism still remains a great threat to security and developments in various places around the globe. The first documented act of terrorism occurred between the 1st and the 13th century where a Jewish group, the Sicarii, were driving out Roman rulers out of Judea. Present time acts of terrorism are carried out by lethal groups such as Al Qaeda, Hezbollah and the Boko Haram in Western Africa. 2 Thesis Statement This paper will discuss the theories which have been put in place concerning terrorism as the fight to bring it to an end continues. It will also look into the factors which fuel terrorism as well as the means which have been put in place to fight terrorism.
