They used to carry homemade lunch to school and this is two-fold beneficial; less expensive and more nutritious. The transformation is revealed when she narrates her two sons who never ask for lunch packages to school but instead ask for lunch money which is presumed to be made in school canteens. This already makes her lazy in the morning as she is not tasked with preparing lunch for her boys any longer. This is the historical transformation of the provision of lunch in most schools. The aim of this paper is to describe why banning of junk foods in schools should be implemented. According to studies done on the Omega-3s brain functionality, healthy foods ought to have a certain amount of this important chemical.

Omega-3s are not available in most junk foods, yet such foods are consumed in huge amounts in school. University of Maryland research shows that deficiency of Omega-3s is attached to several common mental disorders such as ADHD and depression. This can escalate to mental cases of severe conditions such as bipolar and schizophrenia. Eating healthy foods should, therefore, be encouraged by banning junk foods which have less or no nutritional value to the students. Less will be spent on healthcare and student performance in school will be improved. In conclusion, it is clear that junk foods have negative impacts on the life of students due to their negative impact on health and performance. Their high level of sugars and fat lead to obesity which leads to mental and heart conditions.
