Since correctional facilities are primarily established to contain and rehabilitate people’s actions there is always the risk of the guards being targeted or attacked by the detainees hence constant training of these staff equips them with skills on how to tackle such situations or even anticipate their happening so as to take the necessary measures to avert their negative impact.
