Tension began to rise in 1753 and this was due to differences between the two colonialists that controlled America, Great Britain and France. This led to the rise of frontier tensions in the Northern part of America since both the British and French colonists and imperial officials tried to acquire the territories that each one of them wanted and they felt that they deserved it. Some French diplomatic officials where on an envoy in 1754 when they were ambushed and killed (Raffle and William, Np). The war started officially in 1756 and it lasted seven years since it came to an end in 1763. The war was fought in two different fronts which were North America and Europe. He was full of pride and always undermined the native Indians who were allies to the British troops.

This caused his downfall because he was later slaughtered together with his troops by the French fighters and their allies. His position was taken up by General James Wolfe who valued the tactics of the local Indians in the war and thus he was able to achieve Britain’s victory in some of the battle fronts. He however met his death in 1759 after he was seriously injured in the battlefield (Scharff et al. Marquis de Montcalm was the Commander of the French forces and he was successful as the war began since he managed to garner great victories in the battle. The war was very important in the rule and the control of the colonies and also to North America. If at all the French forces won the war, since the American colonial and the French people did not have a bad relationship, this would have led to the disbandment of the colonies and then the French would take control.
