On the other hand, amniocentesis is a procedure done on the second trimester and used to get the amniotic fluid sample from the amniotic sac to diagnose the presence of any genetic disorders and open neural tube defect depending on family history. How environment and genetics work to determine human characteristics Individual’s level of temperament is an arousal and emotionality pattern representing an individual’s consistent and lasting characteristic. Further, some personality traits such as neuroticism have a linkage to genetic stability. Moreover, the environment plays a part in individual’s personality. In addition, genetic components development of disorders such as schizophrenia whereas the external factors determines if the individual will display the trait or not. Thus, children may influence their environment through genetic traits.
