The impact that has on the human population is one implication of automation within the workplace. However, before getting into the details and implications that are brought about by the automation of workplaces, it is essential to understand what automation is and how organizations come to realize or notice them. Therefore, automation can be referred to as the utilization of computer systems to perform day to day functions within the organization with the aim of realizing certain goals or aims. For instance, an automation approach may be taken by an organization to increase the rates of efficiency as automated workplace environments have been proven to have heightened levels of functionality. As such, in order to assess this statement, this research paper will look at the various forms of automation that there are in modern organizations and how they have impacted the workplace in general as far as productivity, performance, employees, and resources among other factors are concerned.

Therefore, with the adoption of automation within these organizations, there will be no aspects of having to worry about late tasks or incomplete ones as there will be enough time to handle any given task and within the provided instructions. Therefore, the need for reliable and effective workplaces has created an increasing need for automation of services within an organization. In addition, on the same aspect of reliability, it is true to argue that software within any given organization is capable of handling complex tasks as compared to human beings with very minimal errors. As long as there are predefined parameters entered in the software, then the software will handle the given task in a dynamic and intelligent manner. Automation ensures that the activities within that organization are reliably handled and executed.

Implications of automation of processes on performance and other activities within organizations The main purpose of the research paper was mainly to assess the implications of automation on performance and productivity as it has been an increasing problem to managers within organizations. It is even evident based on studies that have been conducted that productivity and performance are among the major problems that managers within organizations face (Carlson, 2017). Therefore, the implications that will be assessed in this case will be based on certain areas of groups such as the implications that the automation may have on employees, on productivity, performance, on the organization in general and also on the processes among others. Implications for employees The first aspect that the paper will begin with is the implications that the automation will have on employees with regards to their job roles and requirements.

To begin with, employees are considered as the most important aspects of organizations as they are the human capital of any given organization due to their skills and capabilities (Sigala and Chalkiti, 2015). Therefore, based on this understanding, it is clear that organizations should embrace automation in order to bring about high levels of productivity. Automation within organizations limits the utilization of certain resources as the systems are more computer-based rather than physically involving. Majority of organizations that focus on improving or increasing their productivity are more inclined to embracing automation. As such, with the continuation of this trend, it is clear that the embracement of automation will bring forth to the rise of more productivity based organizations that will have very minimal margins of errors.

Implications for performance The next aspect that the paper will look at based on the implications that automation of services within an organization have is performance. However, with the automation of services and other aspects of the organization, these roles will be redefined to accommodate the new features. Therefore, the roles of the manager will include the overseeing of the automated activities within the organization to make sure that they are running effectively. Within the same organizations, the processes will also be impacted by the automation. These process will vary, but they are mostly based on the departments that will have the systems implemented. For instance, the automation of the supply chain department will mean that the organization will have more efficient supply management as records will be kept up to date.

Automation, which entails the use of computer systems to perform tasks that were initially performed by human beings, ensures that these tasks are done in an effective and efficient manner. Therefore, as far as the automation of services and parts within the organization are concerned, the focus is more on the increase of the productivity and performance and to also help the management understand aspects within the organizations. All that is required from the managers after the systems are automated is to ensure that there is effective monitoring of systems and also of the few employees that will be left behind to oversee the systems. As such, based on the analysis, the automation will have a wide range of impact, all of which can be termed as being positive implications.
