The political stand is also not static, in the previous general election, for instance, Democrat was expected to carry the day, but republican equally got their share in almost equal level. The diverse population of different ethnicity together with different underlying policies are expected to shape the future of the Texas politics diversely. The essay, therefore, focusses on the events that have occurred in Texas State over the years that might clearly shape the future of the politics in this state and even the entire United States. The argument will be drawn from the political competition evident in Texas particularly by examining the trend of dominance among the two famous political parties, the Democrat and the Republican. The political party history in Texas can be traced to 1870s to 1970s after the Republican dominance in running post-civil war reconstruction supported by the Democrats.

Additionally, the white conservatives realized that the Democrat party was drifting away from conservative to liberalism policies. This made them quit the party too. The Republican resume the popularity as a result, also, their interest in supporting the south also gave them a backup (Haynes & Wintz 452). Previously, Texas State used to be painted blue, meaning it was entirely Democrats, this was evident as previous governors of the state were mainly of the democrat party. Since, 1995, the gubernatorial race has been dominated by the Republic party. Giving equal opportunities to the immigrant and the natives to vie for political seats in Texas is another key sign that the politics of the state will be distinct in the future. This will not only reduce racial and ethical discrimination but also strengthen the ethnic ties among the societies thereby increasing the effectiveness of the services delivery across the state for the benefit of all its residents.
