Facebook is a social media platform with the highest number of active users. It recorded 2. 07 billion active monthly based users during the quarter of last year. The number is apparently increasing. Due to a large number of active users, many scholars have decided to study the personal, cultural and professional contexts associated with this platform. For instance, someone can pass a general message to all Facebook users by writing a status and posting it as a public post. Alternatively, someone can limit the number of individuals that he wants to send the message to by creating a private post where only the selected friends can be able to access the information (West & Turner, 2018). Facebook application and website are structured in a way that enhances usage of moods, attitude and feelings ways of communication.

Through use of different tags and ‘emoji’, people are able to communicate their daily experience through the expression of emotions feelings and attitudes. These may also involve uploading images and composing both short and long texts that are very symbolic towards what the subscriber is experiencing. Interpersonal communication, on the other hand, refers to communication between two people. Facebook has enhanced interpersonal communication through inbox messages where only two Facebook users can exchange information with each other privately. Nowadays Facebook has improved this conduit by linking with Messenger application. Messenger application is improved in a way that someone can be able to video call, voice call and even attach documents. Private communication done inbox helps the subscribers to discuss important issues with their lovers, business partners and relatives.

The Facebook page is created in a way that users can advertise their products, job opportunities, and company. The organizational page is complex in that it can hold millions of users. The page is rated depending on the number of like it gets from the subscribers. For example, if a Facebook user posts a product in the page, the number of likes that the product will receive will determine the familiarity of the product and the more like the product receives the more chances of marketing the product. Almost all business organizations use this Facebook platform to advertise their products. For example, Chadwin Reynolds, a former Arts teacher in Columbus High School in Bronx Newyork was terminated from his profession as a result of posting nude messages on Facebook that seemed to affect female students in 2010.
