Questionnaires were structured and administered to both International and Finnish students. Results: relationship, academic and environmental factors expose students to stress. In the case of relationship factors, the primary cause of stress in both groups of students was working with new people. About environmental factors, students were stressed more due to worries and future uncertainty. In the category of academic factors, the class workload was the principal source of stress whereas financial issues were the main personal factor behind increased students' stress. However, each article examines the data differently. They differ in the sense that semi-structured methods are used in collecting data in Conroy's article while more structured techniques such as interviews are used to collect data in the other report.

Also, large sample population in Owusu and Essel's study reveals it's a quantitative approach. Owusu and Essel’s sample composed of 47 and 23 Finnish and International students (both female and male) respectively. The students were by then studying at Seinajoki University of Applied Sciences. Three of the respondents were selected from third parties while 3 out of 6 were his acquaintances. Open-ended questions dominated with the closed ones taking only a small number on the period of employment and age among others. These sorts of questions (open-ended) offer more details on the study topic as well as allow the respondent a wider scope to show feelings and thoughts. Data from Owusu and Essel’s study was generated using SPSS and then analyzed using descriptive statistics for the two groups of students.
