Health Issues Research

Families in different parts of the world are faced by various health problems, some of which are very expensive and take time to treat or manage. Such issues as obesity, cancer, diabetes, high-per-tension, mental health issues among others affect families and are expensive to deal with therefore it would be important for the government to intervene. As highlighted by Rosenthal, Farley, Gortmaker and Sunstein, (2013), in the article “Health Promotion and the State” (2013), some major health problems in the United States that affect families are partly perpetuated by lifestyle choices and individual behaviors, (para. At the heart f government intervention in families’ health is the issue of infringement on personal liberties. Thus policy makers at all government levels should find ways of intervening to promote wellness and healthy behaviors without exceeding their authorities’ limits.
