Moreover another scholar Masayoshi points out several instances that Motomasa’s evocations draw the Po Chu-I poetry (772 – 846). In conclusion both the kinds of poetry Haikai has gain popularization so much as espoused in Sumadagawa short movie play Noh. The popularization has resulted in the Haikai being of less quality. The Haiku has also gained much popularity and it is actually spreading. Therefore the poem on The Sumida River is a haikai poem and it is well appreciated. More poems from the (Sōgi 1421‐1502) times are spreading and even the rules are becoming complex. Therefore it is becoming a serious art. The haiku is also advancing and as much as the haikai is becoming serious the haiku is also improving and hence as much appreciated as the haikai. We can therefore conclude that although Haikai is popular there is a paradigm shift where people are now beginning to appreciate Haiku poetry. [...]
