In My Hands is a fiction book that focuses on the autobiography and memoirs of publisher Irene Gut Opdyke. Irene's report is the fact that she was a medical student, who was simply a Polish Catholic who was always known as a good hearted person and she was very near to her family. However surviving in the center of War World II her life required a convert for the most severe. During this time period in her life; the Nazi army invaded her country in Sept 1939 and this forced her to leave her family and functioned as a volunteer for the Polish army. She signed up with the Polish military because she was a proud Polish gal and wished to protect her country from the Nazis. Through the ensuing occasions she was captured, raped and compelled to work by the Russian army. She could survive these incidents and she eventually went back to Poland to see her family again.
