The movie This Is Home: A Refugee Story has reaffirmed my ideological belief on why the refugees should not be accepted in the country. In the movie, the refugees are going through a lot of suffering and discrimination in Baltimore. The International Rescue Committee in the United States though committed can only offer limited support to the refugees. This case is evident with the four Syrian families who came to live in the United States in a refugee camp called Baltimore. It is not an easy task for the families to look for jobs in the country and learn American culture since they don’t even know English in the first place and their teacher has a difficult time with knowing the country where they come from.

Although the refugees are safe from the war in their Country, it is not easy for them to support themselves in Baltimore. Besides, they face a lot of threat from the government of being deported. In the movie, Iman’s daughters are very worried about their mother because she has an asylum case which is still pending.
