The system here allows me to learn more than what I am supposed to learn in class. In this position, the education system can be linked to a metacognition process. Metacognition can be explained as the knowledge that people have on cognitive and learning processes and how they regulate these processes to enhance memory and learning (Ormrod, 2011). To get better in their school learning and achievement, the students need to be more sophisticated in metacognition. Unfortunately, this is affected by the inability of students at all stages to know the effective methods of understanding and remembering what they learn. This allows me to gain more knowledge that interests me uniquely without being conservative, or inflexible. Another K-12 experience that I got was that my memory was improved so much that when in then K-8 system.

In its own way China has tried to influence learning behavior in school through the understanding of metacognition. This is evident inIn my K-8 system in China. I, it is a very rigid system and has an interrelating factor which is the rigorous exam for college entrance “Gaokao”. It can be defined as a visual template used to organize and keep ideas (Ajaja, 2011) the use of these organizers helps in learning and reading comprehension of newly acquired information. Teachers reinforce what they teach us in class through the visual information displayed, and by doing so we as students get to internalize what we are taught. In this education program, I was able to remember the new material learned because the graphic organizers helped me to see connections between facts, terms, and information.
