Picasso & Olga

instructions: write a 4 page paper about Picasso and compare/contrast between his paints "Olga in an Armchair, 1917 by Picasso", "Olga, Seated Bather by the Sea (1930", and"Les Demoiselles D'Avignon, 1907 by Pablo Picasso" start the paper with a biography and then compare and contrast the two paints about Olga then go to describe Les Demoiselles D'Avignon additional instruction: You would want to note the dates of the two paintings you have selected to compare/contrast. You would probably want to include Picasso’s later portrait of Olga, Seated Bather by the Sea (1930), as well as his Olga in an Armchair, 1917. You can then trace the relationship between cubism in the Les Demoiselles and his return to naturalism in his portrait of Olga in 1917. His portrait of Olga in 1930 is at the time of the breakup of their marriage and he reverts to his fragmentation of the body using cubism for emotional effect as well as his influences from surrealism. I strongly recommend you consult the references below to better understand the importance of Picasso’s relationship between his representation of the female form and the women in his life. You do not need to read entire books nor entire articles to find adequate reference material for your paper. However, you will want to include quotations and cite from your reference sources in your final paper. use only these citation work citation: Chave, Anna C.
