Implications of Convenience Sampling on Interpretations of Data and Usage of Findings
Document Type:Research Paper
Subject Area:Literature
Although, due to incapability to acquire the right clinical data, the data gathered form convenience sampling is taken to represent the entire layer of population of patients. Data collected is useful in making inferences about the population; however, it is rather highly dependent, when it is applied in making generalizations of the population that was involved in the sampling procedure (Staggers & Blaz, 2013). Also, when convenience sampling is useful in collecting of the samples, the independent variables are then assigned tests randomly making the method reliable and flexible. Important information is likely to be left out making the interpretations and findings biased (Bryant et al. All the same, it presents a convenient way to gather data fast; thus, it is rather reliable when conducting a research.
