Annotated Bibliography

T2, Q1---The Booker articles For Test 2, Question 1, one of your test questions will consist of a take home portion. You are going to write an annotated bibliography (AB) containing 4 entries. The A.B. will be based on our 4-part RJ model (government, community, offender, and victim) and any one of the three assigned Booker articles (ATTACHED BELOW) of your choice. Your goal is to identify four items that could be used to expand upon that Booker article with regards to RJ.* There are two ways to approach this task. You may base your four entries on each variable of the model, or you may base it on all four entries of any one variable of the model. The only sources that you may use are journal or magazine articles which can be accessed through the Lloyd Sealy databases on https://www.lib.jjay.cuny.edu/ . Suggested databases include JSTOR, Ethnic News Watch, CUNY One Search, and EBSCOHost. USE ACADEMIC SOURCES. Please format your papers as if you were submitting a writing assignment and all directions for creating an A.B. Please remember to alphabetize your APA formatted entries and be sure to use a hanging indent. To avoid penalties, make sure that you are not submitting any reference that is in all caps, be sure that your citation is single-spaced and your explanation is double-spaced. * Imagine that one of the Booker articles is the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears and you have been asked to complete this particular assignment. We are all aware of the Restorative justice (RJ) model, about RJ techniques, etc…, I will demonstrate ONLY the first- phase THINKING that should be going on inside of your head. After reading the story, the questions that I have are as follows: • Bears live in caves, not houses. What phenomenon took place that would give bears human qualities? (I would have wanted to know that. That’s something that is clearly omitted from the story). • Grizzly bears are found in North America. Although they are carnivores, under what circumstances would they have access to processed foods like oatmeal? Moreover, if oatmeal was left behind, this suggests that the bear family left out during the morning, perhaps for a family walk after breakfast. (The oatmeal question is never discussed in the tale, Yet, it is a significant part of it). • As I envisioned Goldilocks, she is a young girl between 5 and 8 years old. Who lets a child wander through the woods unattended? She’s not crying or in distress which suggests that she is used to this type of activity. Moreover, she practically breaks in (not sure if this fits the legal standard) and enters the home of others, uninvited. What does this say about the type of child she is? What can be gleaned about her family background? • Two of the three beds that Goldilocks tried did not suit her. Why is that? Did she suffer from scoliosis and did that prevent her from being comfortable, initially? ***********You have to find 4 articles for either the victim, gov, offender and or community and it has to be journal articles. These articles have to include what you think she should change in the original article. For example, if the article says victims should be placed in jail. Find a journal article that prove the statement wrong for example finding an article that says the offender should be placed in jail and not the victim. You're basically finding fault in the article that she wrote. Blackboard there's four articles you pick one and you explain where it has the fault and which journal article supports your claim based on which option you choose for the question. ****************** (FOLLOW AS SUCH) Test 2, Question 2---Comparing and Contrasting the other Booker articles Regarding the two Booker articles for which you DID NOT create an A.B., evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each for understanding the RJ model. Please compare them both as you write your answer. Your answer should compare apples and oranges as you state your case, not apples in the paper’s first half and oranges in the second half.
