Review Paper

I need someone to edit this paper and extend it a little bit. You can use the references from the article to extend the paper but please make sure that it is cited in the text and on the references page. This is a review of an already published article. Please vigorously use the guidelines below and make sure all these things are included in the paper. 1. It is important to check grammar, spelling, and punctuation. This is not the most important piece of writing a scientific piece, however if you don't do the following things your writing will not resemble science but creative writing instead. -Check that your subject and verb agree -Use the present tense to describe established experiments and data and past tense in the MM and results sections -Sometimes articles are not needed, however most english nouns need to be preceded by an article -Your tone should be formal and structured -Use active voice (this may vary depending on where you publish an article, but here you should avoid using passive voice) -Spell out numbers when they start a sentence -Use as few words as possible to convey your message (has been shown to be --> is, based on the fact that --> because, decreased number of --> fewer) -Turn your actions into verbs (i.e. we had to analyze the data --> we analyzed the data) -In your introduction - you want to start broad, get more specific, and then close with another broader statement. Be specific. Here you should define any special terms, your hypotheses, state the significance of your work, the objective and any predictions, and introduce your reader to the subject literature (not a full history). This section should be in past tense. DO NOT say things like "this is interesting because" or "we think this should be researched because" 2. In your MM section, you should use the past tense and third person (I incubate the sample --> the sample was incubated). -Describe the experimental design CLEARLY and include your hypothesis, the variables, how many replicates you had, controls and treatments. Explain WHY each thing was done (DO NOT LIST ITEMS). Discuss software or equipment and why/for what it was used. Describe the statistical tests you used and the comparisons you made. Don't discuss background or explanatory information or any irrelevant information (color of stuff, who did what). 3. Your results section (the section that you all need work in) should be in past tense and should summarize your findings in paragraph format while also pointing your reader to relevant data in figures. Summarize the statistical analyses and report actual P values. -Provide a heading for each figure (located below the figure). The figure should be able to stand on its on apart from the text with enough information to gather what it shows without reading your paper (thus, your caption should be effective). This is crucial, as most readers look at the figures first before reading any of the other sections. Be clear and accurate. 4. The discussion section should restate the hypothesis and answer questions from the introduction. Your answers will be supported by the results and should refer to them accordingly. Report all of your findings even if they are not statistically significant. Describe the patterns in your data and put them into perspective. Discuss and go over any conflicting results and any unexpected findings. This does not mean you say "the conflicting results are.... or the unexpected results are...". Provide recommendations for further research and explain why your study is important and will add to the field. References/works cited page: Please use this kind of format for all works used. Klimes, P., Duque, J. J., Brinkmann, B., Van Gompel, J., Stead, S. M., Louis, E. K. S., Halamek J., Jurak P., & Worrell, G. A. The Functional Organization of Human Epileptic Hippocampus. Journal of neurophysiology, jn-00089. 2016. Make sure all the author's names are included in the references and arrange them in alphabetical order. Also, make sure the corresponding references that are listed on the reference page are included in the text as in-text citations. The references used should not be older than 2005.
