Effect of radiation on cell (Example)

Document Preview:

Student nameInstructor name Subject Date Effect of Radiation on Mammalian Cells in Culture Abstract The mammalian cells were exposed to low doses of radiation. Cells growing from the tissues were examined 7 days after irradiation using light and transmission electron microscopy and were also tested for their ability to produce signals indicative of a bystander effect. The exposed cells displayed pronounced damage and were orders of magnitude more sensitive than the data in the literature would suggest(Nephrops 241). Cellular abnormalities included damage to organic molecule from the cells (Leach Van and Lin 3895). Most of the damage to critical molecules such as DNA RNA or protein in the living cell occurs by this indirect mechanism. This effect can also occur through the direct heat by the molecule. Order Description:

just need to write result, discussion and conclusion. instructions are followed below Results & Discussion: (should be separate) Show the whole class results as tabulated Plot your group results on a separate graph Then plot Monica’s data which extend to 14 Gy on another graph. On this graph determine the values of the alpha and beta parameters. The discussion should be on the data and their value including uncertainties. Why are your results not perfect? Summary or Conclusion: (what I found) Now you look back at your results and combine it with the background and briefly state what do your results mean? Also in this section you could speculate on what could have been done differently to achieve more reliable results. Please be neat and organise your items so that can be read easily... (link result with reference) References: At least 3 use papers or books but at least one paper.
