Gender and Diversity Management will prepare a final paper including to answer the following questions
1. What is your personal definition for diversity? 2. What are the origins for issues of diversity within organizations today? (Provide samples and support perspectives for at least two group characteristics such as race, religion, national origin/ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, religion, age, or social identity and describe context where stigma, discrimination, oppression, or bias exists.) 3. What is the impact of diversity issues within organizations today? (Explain relevance on individuals, groups, and organizations as a whole.) 4. How does your view compare or contrast with perspectives on the nature of diversity experienced by others in this class, in different groups, or that you observed in real organizations? 5. Describe one model that organizations or leaders can apply or adapt to build a more effective or inclusive organization. 6.Based on learning in this class, create a Diversity Statement might that can be added to your resume, LinkedIn page, or within your Leadership Portfolio to explain your viewpoint and your vision for diffusing issues related to prejudice, bias, oppression, or inclusion in work organizations today. For each section of the paper, students must indicate where they gained perspectives and support sentences, paragraphs, and sections with theoretical literature, diversity models, or other sourced content from this course or from other scholarly articles or textbooks. Total Points = 150 [120 points] For each of the six sections above, students will receive 20 points (10 points for providing perspectives or personal viewpoints and 10 points for supporting their view with effective and accurate references). [20 points] Students will receive an additional 20 points for developing an effective introduction and conclusion [10 points] Students must include the following for an additional 10 points: A minimum of 8 pages, double-spaced, 1” margins, APA format References page and in-text citations (8 page length excludes cover page and References pages). Application of effective senior-level writing skills and conventions including use of professional language, accurate grammar/spelling/punctuation, logical organization, and clear/concise section headers for the Introduction, Conclusion, and six required content areas.
