Wegmans concentrates and emphasizes on its employees and it believes that its employees must be placed first. Wegman uses the idea that in order for it to become a great place for customers to shop, it must first be a perfect place to work in for its employees (Pamela N. Danziger, 2018). Wegmans has been greatly rated positively in a recent reputation ranking which rated it second in the top hundred best existing brands. The high scoring was measured mainly in five dimensions including social responsibility, products, and services, emotional appeal, leadership and vision as well as financial performance. However, external recruiting is important for future company’s expansion ultimately needing more labor force. Both higher and lower level positions are of great significance to the performance of Wegmans hence the strategies would ideally not differ significantly.
