Prescription medication names for Tinnitus
Document Type:Creative Writing
Subject Area:Media
Currently there are no drugs approved by FDA specifically for tinnitus because those that are there aim at providing relief to the depression, stress, and anxiety caused by tinnitus. In this article, we will consider how we would appropriately give a prescription medication name to Tinnitus. When a drug is discovered, a chemical name is to be given to it describing the molecular and atomic structure of the drug. Prescription medicines always have the Generic, Brand and a Chemical name. The generic name of the drug just about to be invented would be unique and in its context to avoid confusing the medicine with others (Gundersen, 1998). Having been derived from dibenzocycloheptadiene, the drug impedes the reuptake of norepinephrine and secretin by the presynaptic membrane.
