Respond to the following prompt: How can Cubism be seen in Picasso’s painting and how does Matisse reveal his own brand of cubism in his painting? Each artist is using his own technique to show that many perspectives are a fundamental way of understanding the modern world and the way that it is seen. While Picasso uses structure, Matisse uses color.

In light of Shakespeare's 450th wedding anniversary a comment has been questioned about his sonnets relevance in the current time. Many students arguing and questioning why it is relevant for Elizabethan sonnets to be examined in today's literature. The question of how Shakespeare relates in todays times is been asked and through this reflective article I will illustrate how and just why it is relevant. I will be discussing in several paragraphs why it relates in todays time through the understanding of the theme, structure and the poetic techniques by using John Donne's Holy Sonnet 10 and Shakespeare's Sonnet 18. The themes or templates of the poems sketch on ideas of different kinds of power, including the power of religion and the energy of the written phrase. Donne captures the energy of belief perfectly in his metaphors and personification of loss of life.
