A court had recently ruled against the indictment of a white police officer who was involved in shooting and murdering an unarmed black teenager. There was anger and frustration from the public who went on an arson spree in a bid to show their dissatisfaction with the decision of the grand jury. Many of them wanted supremacists still viewed them as slaves. The bill of rights prohibits the discrimination and segregation of people based on race. The article relates to the fourteenth amendment of the constitution where there is the protection of an individual’s civil rights. The right to life of the teenager was denied under mysterious circumstances. The officer should face murder charges according to the author for shooting an unarmed black teenager.
