Do most businesspeople respect the "Three Cs"? In your experie (Example)

Student’s Name Instructor Course Date Business Ethics It is imperative that business people respect the ‘Three Cs’ while undertaking their activities; they include compliance contributions and consequences (Toenjes 78-90). However in my experience most business people mostly respect the contributions and consequences more than the compliance. This is because more often than not compliance especially with the set legislations will need the business to incur some costs to implement it. As we know the primary goal of firms is to reduce costs and increase its productivity. But when it comes to complying with the business’s policies and rules compliance is better. This is because failure to comply with the set policies and regulations would have negative consequences for the firm which will reduce its productivity. Thus businesses will mostly comply with the set policies and rules of that enterprise; so that they can avoid negative consequences on morality which would be applicable in the relevant business areas and stipulates the standards and approaches that would be embraced when the company is faced with a particular moral problem. Conclusion From my experience many companies respect the contribution and consequences bit of the ‘Three Cs’ as compared to the compliance bit. There is prevalent unethical behavior in the business today more so because of lack of compliance. The ‘Three Cs’ are incorporated in Solomon’s list as well. Although the rules are sufficient as they are it would be adequate if a rule on applied business ethics would be incorporated in them. Work Cited Solomon Robert C.
