There are three levels of negotiations. The levels depend on the relationship between the conflicting parties. A good negotiator should be emphatic and assertive. A good mediator has good knowledge of the issue right negotiation and mediation skills and allows the parties to conflict to decide on crucial matters. Understanding conflicts employ a critical examination of the consequences emanating from various behaviors at a particular time. Categorization of the disputes utilizes classification of the actions that depict a specific conflict. Negotiation styles enable an individual to solve a specific issues. Conflict Management: Mediation is a facilitated negotiation. The mediator acts as the facilitator and focuses on serving the interests of the parties. The parties use a mediator to negotiate effectively. The mediator however does not make any decision. An interest-based approach puts focus on the interests. The mediator in this case looks at the creative solutions. Evaluative-based method on the other hand occurs primarily in courts more so for smaller crimes. The mediator is tasked with trying to get a solution. A combination of the two embodies cooperation and assertive communication to achieve better solutions.
