To begin with is the ability to facilitate. Effective team leaders should become powerful facilitators. As facilitators, group leaders should help the group members to understand the goals to be achieved. They also help organize an eligible plan of action that ensures the goals and objectives of the group are achieved by the group members in an efficient and effective manner (Scott, 2018). Secondly, a group leader has to be communicative. It requires that the group leader be flexible. He or she should be able to adapt to changes as they occur. Inflexibility is one of the major human failings, as it comes with the rigidity of mind which has no antidote and it carries seeds of its own destruction (Maxwell, 2006). Flexibility will enable the team leader to bend to any circumstances without worrying about tripping.
