The Internet and the Broader Culture student’s name institutional affiliation Introduction The internet has had an effect on the global culture in the sense that it has transformed the manner in which individuals interact. People within the global culture can be able to use digital technology to instantly solve problems that initially took years. The advent of the social media is a point in case where the internet has allowed for the creation of virtual communities on WhatsApp Instagram and Facebook through which personal and commercial engagements can take place. As a result of the conversations that have emerged due to the internet the global culture has changed in the sense that people can work and socializes without the need for face to face interaction. Analysis The nature of interactions on the internet has transformed how individuals can buy and sell products. Traditionally a buyer was expected to visit easily to the extent that they share private information that can attract con people and robbers. Hence user discretion is often demanded.
