Students name: Instructors name: Institution: Date: Sources of Christian Theology Theology is defined as the field of study that deals with religion and the different believes people have about their supreme being. Christian theology is defined as the study of God and his association to Christians. People refer to different sources while studying theology. The first source of theology is the scripture (Tamara n.p). It is also referred as the bible. Christians believe that the scripture is the origin of theology. They read it understand and feel Gods presence within them. The content in the scripture explains the origin of Christians and how God manifests Himself in the life of Christians. The second source is the traditional beliefs Christians have (Tamara n.p). Christians believe that the church began its formation in the second and third centuries. This explains the formation of transformation of the traditional beliefs. The positive aspect is that preachers missionaries and other Christian educators are using philosophical techniques to ensure that people get a clear understanding of the scripture. For instance the techniques help people understand the theory behind God being divine the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Philosophical techniques explain this theory as God being one person who has three characters within himself. He can be the Father Son and manifest the Holy Spirit at the same time.
