CASE STUDY: ATLANTIC REVOLUTION By Professor Course Institution Date Atlantic Revolution The Atlantic revolutionary waves rapidly increased during the decolonization era which was a period between 1770's and 1820s. The end of the colonial rules witnessed many nations adopting the revolutionary ideology as one way to end the colonial rule. States like America the States of Venezuela France and St. Dominguez saw the need to pursue long-lasting transformations of social and political orders. As such the Atlantic revolutionary leaders resolved to enact constitutions that would safeguard the interests of the state citizens. The results were the declaration of the rights of citizens like in the case of France. The National Assembly of France attempted to find a solution to the natural calamities that were befalling the land. France associated these in 1791 promoted the ending of the long felt struggles of State citizens. The revolutionary process aimed at intervening the oppressed groups like the poor women and racial minorities. Atlantic revolutionary waves enabled the French government to redesign the political landscape of the country while uprooting the long-held practices that only brought more sufferings to citizens. Like other revolutions the French revolution was promoted by the enlightenment ideologies like the concepts of sovereignty and civil rights. Although the revolution failed to meet all the expectations of state citizens the movement was critical in shaping the modern French society by allowing the citizens to express their free will.
