However, innovation is the enactment of something new. Indeed, different cultures and cultural practices have resulted in various points of view in creativity and innovation. Resultantly, the nature of creativity varies from country to country. A good example is China and USA. Both countries have a well-established economy but very different views on innovation and creativity (Carraher, Buchanan, & Puia 2010, pp 375). However, these forms of creation do not hinder the growth and capability of the technology sector. Combination type innovations enable the products and goods from the Chinese to dominate trade (West 2002, pp361). Additionally, the fact that their innovation allows them to quickly produce the same product just invented, though improved in various ways, enables them to affect the market, as they cause the price of the product to shrink.

USA innovation involves originality. It does not require a person to improve an already existing product. Comparatively, the lack of superficial innovations in the USA has enabled natural creations of large industrial systems for their inventions. The products of their creativity are original and have depth in innovation giving them the ability to dominate the market for considerable durations. The USA uses various ways like cooperative competitions to promote creativity and innovation. These cooperative competitions result from the cultural influence and also from the political practices in the country (Cooke 2001). Clearly, the cultures in the USA have enabled the creation of a perfect environment to practice creativity and innovation. For an original idea to be fruitful, it requires being taken over several scientific processes over and over again.

Moreover, just as there are no shortcuts in life, there are no shortcuts that would enable proper verification and successful implementation of these ideas. Indeed, the USA culture of making sure that ideas go through these rigorous processes is a significant one. Nonetheless, the same cannot be said for China. Various citizens in the country, including the practitioners of popular science, believe that they can be great innovators and make great inventions by overturning laws and concomitantly using various shortcuts. Instead, it is viewed as a dishonor. As a consequence, people are discouraged from trial and errors, and this suppresses innovation and creativity in the nation (Tjosvold, Tang & West 2004, pp 550). Also, they do not have the can-do attitude culture like the USA citizens that enables them to try out new things without fear of failure.
