Learning Styles Essay
Everyone has their own unique style of learning, and they may not learn anything unless they apply their method. Therefore, the discussion in this context aims and identifying and discussing, in a division essay, the four major learning methods namely visual, auditory, reading and writing as well as the kinesthetic learning method and analysis on the use of the four learning styles. Visual learning is a mode of education in which learners combine images, pictures, colours and maps to organize information in their minds and gain some new content (Al-Shehri, Abdullah S 2009). Visualization learners relate the material they learn with the visual art, architecture, photography or films they come across. As a result, they visualize the content and learn new things.
They depend mainly on listening to recorded audio, music or videos and memorizing the content through speaking for a better understanding (pg. Normally, auditory learners barely miss classes. Surprisingly, an auditory learner does not necessarily need to pay attention to learn. Such people gain content provided the speaker is audible enough despite their concentration levels. The learners have good memories and do not often take notes. Furthermore, the students prefer to articulate teachers who offer lots of information and maximize teaching during class time. Chen, Mei-Ling (2009) explained that kinesthetic learners must engage their whole bodies during learning. They can best be described as active learners as they gain a lot when they are wholly involved in the learning practice. Such students prove hard to deal with as teachers consider them as having fidgeting behaviors.
