At the time of writing this short story, she was worried about the divine grace possibility and the constant questions of evil and good among the Christians and the non-believers. The short story, A Good Man Is Hard to Find was published in 1953 and became one of her most famous works in society. It is a story about a grandmother and her family travelling for a vacation in Florida. She does not believe there are many good men left in society, and cannot trust most of them. All of them believe they are more righteous than others and none can be like them. pp 570). However, the author leaves much for the imagination from the reader for different interpretation. Interestingly, the Misfit is as well given much attention, but this is only possible through the grandmother’s perspective.

His perspective only comes out after the death of the grandmother in the story. The narrator’s point of view in the story is quite essential for the continuity of the story after the death of the main character. " They have an accident in the middle of the forest where none can come for their help and have to face whatever happens to them. Besides, the cloudless sky is always used to emphasize a beautiful day for the individuals. However, all the happenings of the story do not show any beautiful for the family in the forest especially after the accident. Nonetheless, the day gets beautiful when the grandmother starts smiling at the moment of her death. She must have had a beautiful moment as shown by the cloudless sky before her death.
