Ralph Ellison's King of the Bingo Game Analysis
Our protagonist decides to play the bingo game hoping to win so that he may pay the doctor. The general setting for the story can be divided into three visible portions. First, the protagonist is sitting in a movie theater, where he accesses sounds, sight, and smells. This portion predicate on the anticipation. The protagonist anticipates on eating and winning the bingo game. In the dream, he screams while running to the south which signified that the protagonist will go back to the south in a much worse situation than he was in the beginning, which actually happened at the end of the story. When the protagonist pressed the button, he realizes that he alone controls the fate of his life.
