For each case study, students will be required to provide a diagnostic impression and will write a brief summary of justification for each diagnosis. Grading will be primarily linked to your justification. You should indicate the psychological disorder(s) that you believe are present, any pertinent medical disorders, and the psychosocial stressors (using V-codes). An evidence-based treatment approach is also to be included that provides sufficient detail to be able to determine that you understand how to intervene with a client with the particular diagnosis provided. The treatment plan should be clinical in nature, as if you are the treating clinical social worker, not merely a case manager (e.g., no referral for individual psychotherapy, etc.).
