Services The community receives medical services from the Homestead Hospital situated along 975 Baptist way; the Campbell Drive/SW 312 Street and serves a wide patient zone divided into six ZIP codes. With an estimated population of over 180,000 people. This emphasizes how over stretched the physicians and other medical team is. Community nurses and healthcare providers can be trained and equipped in well established rehab centers to address this menace (Fisk, 1979). Chronic disease management centers; The Homestead hospital serves a wider population and with an increase in the sedentary lifestyle, the population requires several centers to manage diseases such as hypertension, diabetes among other lifestyle diseases. This will also serve to reduce the in-patient size to the already overstretched hospital. These centers will go along way with enlightening the population on health living.
